James Asher is an Amsterdam based artist born in South Africa.
Focusing primarily on female figurative oil paintings, his mixed media works combine abstraction, realism and dimension to create a balanced, more vivid experience for the viewer. His provocative motives aim to challenge the imagination and unsettle the mind to perhaps recognise beauty in what some may deem as improper.
Since a young age James has always been drawing and creating. Following his vocation, he began his professional painting career in 2017. As a self trained artist he relies on his passion for art to let his soul guide his movements.
His originals are collected world wide. Most of his collection are displayed between Amsterdam and the U.S.
